Well, in deference to the weather, which wasn't great today, but will be worse in coming days, we opted not to get trapped way up the Pamlico River and came here to Oriental today instead - will stick to the ICW from here on in to avoid missing Thanksgiving with Dad and Joy

Were having a very bumpy, rocking and rolling ride in a pretty unprotected marina, so moved today for peace of mind - still in Charleston, though, and having a blast! Speaking of blast, it's gotten COLD - time to head south! Darn those insurance companies!!!

This weather is amazing! Cool, but so clear and beautiful! We had a long day today, but got through some difficult spots at high tide as a result, so it was worth it!
11-18
St. Marys, GA
Fernandina Beach, FL
Well, St. Mary's didn't seem very welcoming - we never could get anyone on the phone, and when we got there, couldn't raise anyone on the radio, either. So, we came along here to F. Beach, a little town I've been wanting to explore. It's a great place - will come to spend more time next time!
11-19
Jacksonville, FL
Jacksonville, FL
Arrived here safely after transiting some shallow water at dead low tide...I don't recommend it! Makes for more stress than necessary! But are here safe and sound, and will let Mer Sea have a rest in this nice fresh water while we visit some family and friends
